The Highwaymen faction is the latest faction to be added to XDefiant and is introduced in Season 2, in this guide we will give an overview of the factions abilities and provide some tips!
The Highwaymen’s passive ability is “revved”. This passive will ramp up your rate of fire and reload speed based off of killstreaks you are currently on. The ability will ramp up to “medium” for first kill, followed by “high” with second, and “maximum” after 4 kills.
Abilities - Scrap Turret and M79
The first ability we will discuss is the Scrap Turret. This turret is a deployable turret with 360 degrees of coverage. When using this weapon try placing it under low walls or at high vantage points. This turret is great for holding objectives.
The next ability is the M79 which is a grenade launcher. You will get 2 shots, after using both shots or switching from the ability, it will be placed upon cooldown. The M79 is great for clearing out congested areas. It is very effective at medium range.
Now we move on to the ultra, which is a saw launcher that launches buzz slaw blades which ricochet off of the walls. The saw launcher is highly effective at clearing out enemies at closed quarters combat.
